Luminz Dance in Your School

Dance is a wonderful way for students to exercise while having fun.
Dance develops non-verbal communication skills, builds confidence through a sense of achievement, teaches team work and offers an outlet for kids to express themselves creatively with each other and in a performance context.

Workshops for Grades 1 - 3
We begin with games designed to warm up a young body thoroughly and safely. Class progresses to learning basic dance vocabulary and sequences to interactive movement games that teach rhythm, spacial awareness, movement with a partner and movement with a group.

Workshops for Grades 4 - 6
Students begin with a thorough and vigorous warm up that incorporates
dance technique, rhythm, yoga and strength building exercises followed
by dance phrasing, movement games and task-oriented improvisation.
Workshops are often geared towards building a performance that is
developed in collaboration with the students.

* Hip hop, House and Middle eastern dance workshops also available.

Classes for High School Students
Luminz Studio teachers offer ballet, modern dance, hip hop, house, jazz and middle east dance styles for high school students. Classes can be arranged as an after school program, workshop or residency. Please inquire if you are interested in arranging a class for high school groups.

Flexible Location
Your students can come to our beautiful studio at the Cotton Mill Hill building or our teachers can come to your school.

Professional Dance Artists

Aurora Corsano has taught dance workshops for students at Marlboro Elementary School, Neighborhood School House, Kindle Farm School and for children in Spain, Amsterdam and London. She has worked as a dancer with Pink Inc. in NYC as an aerialist in Holland. She is the director of Luminz Studio and has been teaching dance locally since 2003.

Leah Mutz
has performed with Sandglass Theater, The Company of Strangers, and The Hibakusha Peace Project and performed and directed for Luminzcircus. She has taught movement to children and adults with a focus on core strengthening and lengthening of the body into space.
