Luminz Dance Theater presents their premier performance this Winter at NEYT in Brattleboro, Vermont from February 19 - 21, 2009.

  • Thursday, February 19 ~ School showing (time TBA)
  • Friday, February 20 ~ Gala opening night @ 7:30 pm
  • Saturday, February 21 ~ Matinee @ 2:00 pm
  • Saturday, February 21 ~ Performance @ 7:30

The program offers a fourty~five minute work inspired by the opera Orpheo Ed Eurydice by Gluck. It tells of Orpheus’ descent into Hades, his love for Eurydice and his heroic attempt to retrieve her from the Shadow Land. The piece is danced by all of LDT’s thirteen dancers with choreography by Aurora Corsano, music by Todd Roach, Derrik Jordan and Molly Melloan with Sets by Jana Zeller, costumes by Alyssa Holmes, light design by Gerald Stockman and projection by Dustin Demillo.

The evening’s performance also offers new works by LDT and guest choreographers Pascal Benichou, Molly Melloan, Christie Clovis, Meg Van Dyck and Leah Mutz.
