Why Luminz Studio?
Dance training from Luminz Studio is ideal for today’s children, providing a contemporary, culturally diverse, and multi-faceted dance experience. Luminz Studio dance teachers are professionally trained, energetic, knowledgeable and supportive making class a safe and fun environment for students to explore the art of dance. Luminz Studio teachers provide students a balanced experience of technical dance training, physical conditioning, and artistic stimulation.
Not only are students taught discipline and patience, but they are also given space to stretch their imaginations and become artistic creators themselves. The broad knowledge and experience of Luminz studio teachers along with their multi-faceted approach provides students with the tools necessary to understand, appreciate, and experience the art of dance first hand… an educational
enrichment that extends well beyond the classroom.
Class Description:
Workshops for Grades 1 - 3 and 4 - 6:
Workshops begin with movement designed to warm up the body
thoroughly and safely with movement that combines dance technique, yoga
and strength building exercises. We then progress to learning basic dance
vocabulary, phrases and patterns through space. Class concludes with
interactive movement games that teach spacial awareness, rhythm, working
with a partner or in a group, movement invention and improvisation. Classes
are a fun way for students to exercise, express themselves creatively and
develop their skills in communication through movement!
(Workshop can be geared towards a performance upon request)
