Joan Sanchez

Joan Sanchez has been making dances since 1980. She works with both structured improvisation and set choreography. Her style is eclectic…she enjoys creating movement that suits her dancers. Most often, the choreography or structure comes first and the music is chosen or composed later. During her years as a solo performer, she drew inspiration from the sea and landscape of Mt. Desert Island, Maine, where she lived for many years. Presently, she is reveling in the wonderful variety of dancers she is working with in Southern Vermont. joanenrique@gmail.com
